Position Criteria:  Candidate must reside in Cleveland, Ohio

Education: A college degree with an emphasis on business administration, finance or engineering preferred.

Experience: Minimum 3 years' experience in Finance including 2+ years Commercial Finance experience inthemanufacturing industry and/or components distribution industry.

Nice to Have: Experience with Hyperiod, Business Objectives, and SQL/Power Query a plus

Job Description: 

 



Reporting into the HSS Segment Finance Team, this is a high visibility role with direct working relationships with HSS Senior Leadership, HR, Finance and Sales Teams. This Segment role will be the primary point of collaboration for tracking commercial initiatives including price capture, commercial contract negotiations, bid process reviews and related financial impacts on growth and profitability. Additionally, this role will assist in coordinating with our Segment FP&A lead and VP of HR with reporting, analyzing and supporting the productivity of our global workforce. 


Support the VP of Commercial in understanding commercial performance versus their targets.

  • Own the tracking, forecasting and reporting of all Segment pricing initiatives including targeted margin improvement and new business proposals. 
  • Coordinate the monthly, quarterly and annual commercial forecasts, working closely with finance and sales leaders to combine market input and specific program / customer demand to build an accurate and actionable sales forecast. 
  • Coordinate with Segment commercial teams and Corporate Accounting on NRE initiatives, including cost analysis and revenue recognition requirements. 
  • Work closely with Sales Leaders to analyze customer demand, bookings, and sales across time periods, customers, markets, and location.
  • Lead the Revenue Annual Plan preparation and development.
  • Manage the monthly (and ad hoc) reporting of revenue and price actions (actuals and forecast).

 

Requirements:

  • Strong manufacturing finance background, with experience with GAAP requirements for revenue recognition.
  • Commercial finance experience, including working directly with Sales leaders.
  • Strong analytical skills, with comfort in manipulating large data sets, drawing strategic insights and communicating upwards.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, with comfort in dealing with ambiguity and working independently.
  • Proven discipline of reporting timeliness and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of aerospace industry.
